PROPOSAL
For astute hotel developers, the property is poised for an integrated resort development—one of the first of its kind to be approved in concept by the Fiji Government. Currently in the planning stages, the master plan proposes hotel sites, a 150-lot residential subdivision, a 108-slip marina, sustainable agriculture/aquaculture operations, an environmental research center and recreational facilities among other uses.
GETTING TO
LOLOMA
Fiji's primary airport, Nadi International Airport, receives more than 96% of all flights to the islands, with daily international flights from three major carriers—Fiji Airways,
Air New Zealand, and Virgin Australia—as well as various discount and regional airlines.
From Nadi, visitors travel to Loloma by way of a local carrier. The following
routes are currently available:
Nadi International Airport to Savusavu Airport (Vanua Levu)
Fiji Link currently offers daily flights to Savusavu, with a flight time of one hour and 10 minutes. Private transfer service may be arranged to the property, approximately an hour drive away.
Nadi International Airport to Matei Airport (Taveuni)
Fiji Link also provides daily flights from Nadi to Taveuni, with a flight time of one hour and 25 minutes. From Taveuni, ferry or high-speed boat service may be arranged for transport to the property.
Given the resort site's relatively remote location, discussions are in progress with local air carriers to provide a direct route to the property. Regularly scheduled flight service will be offered by seaplane to the Loloma marina or by conventional propeller aircraft to a private landing strip located nearby.
